Users Comments & Feedback on Apex Launcher Pro
Arwood: Best launcher Tried a few others including next and go. They have nothing on this. The user has full control over the custom settings. Awesome settings, cool effects, and doesn’t lag the system like the others do. One complaint: sometimes, when I open an icon folder, all the icons will be missing so I close it and reopen and they return. Might want to check into that. ( full version user here ) DEFINITELY worth buying. So I did… 😀
Brian: Best thing about an Android phone I have been using apex pro for quite a few years now and simply love it. It is intuitive, easy to set up and even easier to use. There are so many different functionalities and tweaks that you can do to customize it to your interest that there is no reason not to use it. I often hear of people complaining about Touchwiz for HTC’s UI, etc but with this launcher used as your launcher, there’s no reason to complain about any of those. This is a nice quick and easy replacement for all of those.
Scott: Great I love this launcher, it’s one of a kind and customisable to however you want it (within reason). However I have come across a problem in the App drawer since the last update where the pages of my apps seems to stack and the names of the apps aren’t readable as there’s two layers of text.
Casey: Met, then exceeded expectations. I have used stock Android launchers on various phones as well as Google Now and a couple of others from the Play Store. They all have their strengths. They all lured me away from iOS. I enjoyed all of them on some level. Apex Launcher Pro runs quickly and smoothly. It is full featured and flexible. It lets you be a power user, or a casual user – or somewhere in between. It’s easy and useful. The BEST fit I’ve ever had.
Cesar: A great and SMOOTH launcher. Replaced my Launcher 8 when Launcher 8 began crashing when my phone updated to Lollipop. No regrets! ONE REQUEST, though, that I hope the developer will consider adding as a feature: VERTICAL home screen scrolling (similar to what Launcher 8 and Lucid launcher do). Otherwise, FIVE stars.
Mario: Recommend Launcher This is a very good Launcher! Hands down it beats touch wiz for my note 4. It covered all aspects for modifications and the way things transitioned. My only complaint is that they do not have a full calendar widget. This is essential when you are constantly in need of a calendar and are inputting tasks. I have emailed the programmers twice asking for some insight in the matter, but it seems like they have horrible costumer service. If you were able to respond to my emails I would give you a 5 star.
Jeremiah: I really like this launcher, but… Great launcher with tons of customization, but I think it’s not all that compatible with Android 6 (marshmallow). Main issue I am having is that Google’s Voice Search app won’t work with Apex. Gives error “can’t open microphone”. Only happens when using Apex and not with Google Now Launcher.
John: A launcher with all the goodness Apex launcher(as well as the pro version) has become my favorite go to launcher. I tried action 3 launcher and was thoroughly disappointed. It crashed on me several times. I went right back to Apex. Apex offers deeper customization and a more refined look and feel that I haven’t seen in other launchers. Thanks to the Developers who created this no-nonsense launcher.
Ben: Love it! Don’t ever change the status bar shadow, it’s perfect! I switched from Nova Pro to Apex Pro simply because the shadow isn’t dark enough on Nova. Apex well worth the money. I did drop a star because the keep in memory option puts a banner notification. Understandable, but my phone is rooted and the app should the advantage of that.
Bobby: Great launcher, simple………perfect Been using this launcher for years. No reason to ever switch. I do have a suggestion, I would really like to add shortcuts to an app group in my app drawer to home screens……..or add a folder that links to an app group. This way I don’t have to add apps to folders on my home screens, I just have to sort them in the app drawer. If this could be done that would be great.
Steve: I have Apex customized like a hot rod. One and two finger gestures have enabled me to remove many icons from my UI like drawer and camera. All the customization of Nova plus more. I’ve been using Apex for over a year and although I often experiment with other launchers I always come back.
Vanna: I CANNOT GET OVER THIS LAUNCHER. It’s perfect how it allows all the customization you should need without overpowering the type of device itself. My Google pixel runs supremely and the search bar looks even classier with this launcher. Rare find, sticking to it.
Tom: Pretty good, and by far the best Lacks a couple of key features, that I would love to see. Add function to select multiple apps to add to home screen, not just one at a time. Add function to select a different wallpaper for each screen. Add function to auto hide the dock & notification(status) bar after making a selection from either.
John: Best launcher for power users Serves all my configuration needs and partners well with APW widgets on 8 screens. 1 issue with large screen 1080×1920 and 401 ppi the screens config window is scaled incorrectly and only the center screen tile can be seen. Needs fixing?
CJ: Best Launcher Out There So, I’ve used Apex for a while, and I figured I’d finally review it. I’m a very experimental person. I like to tinker with things, and that includes my Android and its interface. The problem is that many stock launchers, such as TouchWiz, don’t allow for the amount of customization I desire, even though they’re great for beginners. Then I encountered Apex. Even though I’ve tried other launchers, I always end up coming back. Thanks for a solid launcher. ^_^
Jake: Excellent. Extremely customizable. Is there an option to change the color of the text for each folder name? I couldn’t find it in folder settings or at least the option that was there didn’t change the text color for me. I’m using a white folder background and the folder name is also white so it is barely visible. Other than that this app is perfect!
Kinonitsu: Default Forever I love the launcher and just how quick it is. As a recent converter from iOS to android I miss having the wallpaper parallax effect on my phone. I hope you guys could toss that in as a feature sometime soon, it’ll definitely give you something the competition doesn’t have.
Excellent app Took a few hours to get it perfectly set up to my liking on my rooted Nexus 7 2013 Lollipop tablet but now it looks clean and uncluttered without all the Google logos and branding everywhere. I loathe device settings that forbid customising and Google are getting as bad as Apple. Thanks for the work 🙂
Joshua: Feature idea Hidden/passworded screen. Activated by a gesture that pops up and shows hidden apps and maybe a single widget. I would gladly donate again for this feature. That’s the only thing I would add. What do you think?
Ezra: It’s definitely good, but… I have an outstanding issue where all folders (in the drawer and on the desktop) will, at random times, not render the icons inside of them. It’s a really annoying issue where it sometimes takes five tries for me to open, say, Google Maps. The reason for the three star rating is this: I contacted the developers and after months, I have not gotten a reply. I bought the pro version, and I’d expect some sort of reply, you know? Even if its just a “did you clear your cache?” Or a “thanks, we’re working on it.
Melody: Impressed. Spent a few months trying many launchers and this one has every single thing I enjoy about a launcher. Others only have a few awesome features, this has them all. Ive stopped looking now and am choosing Apex!
Bennett: Perfectly smooth transition from the free app Very clean, and recovers launcher functionality that the n5 discarded in favor of more ways to reach Google search aka Now. Swipe up is enough for me. Love the scrollable dock, adjustable number of icons on desktop, and simple clean feel. Still great on lollipop.
Kevin: Loving it I came from Nova Prime having issues with unresponsiveness and crashing, running a Samsung note 4 on 4.4.4. Apex is great has every feature I want. Developers please add ability for notifier extension to display unread count on apps in folders
Daniel: Trying again Tried Apex before in the past, loved it. Then I had some problems. But I’m coming back and my hopes are high, have heard nothing but great reviews about most recent updates.
Matthews: Folders on home screen Great launcher but trying to create a folder on the home screen is driving me mad. Moving one icon on top of another is supposed to create a folder but all it does is swaps the icons around. Very frustrating. Fix and it’ll be 5 stars.
Ger: Best Launcher i am using this since a few years and this is amazing, has low memory usage, and a lot of features to customize and tweak. The only problem is wallpapers setting on cyanogenmod 11 has some problems with freezing, update : if you use Titanium Backup to freeze unwanted apps, make sure to leave Theme Provider as is, found this caused the problem both on my OnePlus One and MiPad.
Adrian: Awesome but…. Swipe down gesture mapped to open notifications panel is broken after vzw note 4 lollipop update as of 4/6/15. Giving 5 stars in good faith for confidence in developer. Please fix. Thank you.
